Cookie Policy
About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Community Link Stafford & District uses cookies and similar storage and access technologies on this website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies, including local storage, can also save information on your device. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) apply to both cookies and similar technologies. Where their use involves personal data, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 also apply.
What this website uses
This website currently uses only preference storage and security technology required to operate the cookie controls and protect online forms. It does not currently use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, embedded maps or embedded videos.
| Technology | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
community-link-cookie-choice-v1 | Community Link Stafford & District | Local browser storage used to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional technologies and to avoid asking you on every page. | Six months, unless you clear your browser storage sooner. | Essential preference storage |
| Turnstile browser storage and one-time verification token | Cloudflare | Distinguishes genuine form users from automated submissions. Turnstile loads only on the contact, membership and volunteer application pages. | The verification token is single use and expires after five minutes. Associated challenge storage is controlled by Cloudflare. | Essential security |
cf_clearance, where a Cloudflare challenge or optional Turnstile pre-clearance is enabled | Cloudflare | Stores proof that a visitor has passed a security challenge so the same challenge does not need to be repeated immediately. | 30 minutes by default; the live Cloudflare security configuration can alter this duration. | Essential security |
Cloudflare Turnstile
Our online forms use Cloudflare Turnstile as a security measure. Turnstile performs browser checks to help distinguish people from automated software. Cloudflare states that Turnstile processes the information needed to provide this security function and does not access, store or transmit the content entered into our forms.
Turnstile is necessary to protect the website and its forms from spam and abuse. Rejecting optional technologies does not disable Turnstile. You can read Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Privacy Policy.
Optional technologies
There are currently no optional analytics, advertising or embedded-content technologies active on this website. The cookie controls include Accept and Reject options so that optional features can remain blocked if they are introduced later. If we introduce a new technology or use an existing technology for a new purpose, we will update this policy and request a fresh choice where required.
How to change your choice
You can reopen the consent panel at any time by selecting Cookie Settings in the website footer. Accepting and rejecting optional technologies are presented as equal choices. Rejecting optional technologies does not prevent you from using the website or submitting a form.
You can also delete stored website data using your browser settings. If you do this, the website will ask for your choice again on your next visit.
Third-party websites
This website links to services such as Facebook and easyfundraising. These websites may use their own cookies after you choose to follow a link. We do not control their cookie practices, so you should review the policy on the website you visit.
